In depth details below:
A lineup of Reaves/PG, Randle/SG, LeBron/SF, Davis/PF, Wood/C would be a great starting lineup, Hunter & McBride with Hayes, Bronny & Knect wouldn't be bad. I think that lineup better then their bench from last year to be honest. As far the Hawks, they in rebuild mode, enough said, Knicks need another Center & Jared is a good defender & they love defense so he'll feel right at home. Trade is very unlikely but if it happened I wouldn't be too mad, I want to give Gabe another chance, Rui will get better the more experience he has in the playoffs so maybe better this time around, if I'm the Lakers if I'm giving up my picks, it better be for a player that can score/defend & shoot & averages over 20(which is why Randle is great here) plus at least 2 other players(like the ones mentioned above) which is why this is great for the Lakers, forget Lavine, he's no great defender & at least Randle would be a 3rd star, he's comfortable being the 2nd star so him being 3rd would be more comfortable with him but with LeBron taking the back seat he'd be featured as the 2nd option more often then not. Then Reaves should be getting even more open looks as you have 3 people to worry about in the paint in LBJ, Randle, AD, then whoever the center is, if it's Wood you have 4, which would create for Reaves. Knicks bench with Hart & Donte is great with them plus Thibs don't play more then like 7 players so the fact that their bench isn't the best kinda gets negated as their stars will be playing most of the minutes, Robinson should come off the bench to be honest, Capela is better, all Robinson does is rebound, only if Isiah woulda stayed. Now with Capela in the lineup the Knicks starting 5 Rivals even Boston. Ain't much to say about the Hawks other then they're in rebuild mode if they do this. They do need another scorer for Trae since they got rid of DJ, they shoulda got rid of Trae & build around DJ, Trae undersize & not a great defender, he's no Brunson, Rui, Gabe & Dlo would add scoring punch, Dlo is a taller Trae, bad defender with good offense only not as consistent as Trae. I look for the Hawks to get some value out of these guys then make a mistake or off-season trade, for a actual 2nd star, the Hawks would be a first round exit if they managed to get to the playoffs even with these 3, Rui hasn't had much playoff experience, maybe he'll be better this year, he's good in the regular season but what matters is the playoffs, Gabe got more known cause of his playoff performances, so hopefully he'll remind everybody of that. Hawks are a season away from a rebuild if they don't do it now, I give em 2 more years before they get rid of Trae & get a new franchise player either through drafts or trades.
For the Lakers I grade it a B, maybe B+
Knicks get a B but a backup center is what they really need plus they get another great defender who they can put on Tatum so save OG/Bridges from foul trouble & get them rest while not giving up defense, just their shooting ability which is evened out by the other shooters they have. Hawks get a C+, B+ if Gabe averages 15+ & Rui averages 20+ or even 15+ consistently.
