With Randle going down and NY not having any real viable backup (Hart is more a 3) they pickup a serviceable backup that they could use in the playoffs.

Ultimately though, this would be part of a bigger trade where they can use the Brooklyn pick plus a number of their own assets to go after another important piece (Dejounte? Mikal?)

With Robinson on his way back, they can use Jock ( blerg ) to fill in the backup role or look to include a big man in their larger trade.

Rockets move back in the draft and target one of the big men around that 18-20 mark. A lot of the top 8 prospects overlap with their current young core and none I can see are a clear upgrade (though Topic would be nice). They address their two biggest needs, a backup big and outside shooting/scoring.

The big question mark here is Hartenstein. I don't think NY are looking to move him, but. They may think hes priced himself out of what they are willing to pay in the offseason for a backup 5. Theres a version of this with Sims instead, but that wouldn't involve the other pieces and would likely have a couple assets coming BACK to Houston (a second or two).
