Clippers have Kawhi and PG, 2 unselfish and 2-way wings who would allow James Harden to be at his best. Which is when he’s the guy who has the ball in his hands majority of the time and is surrounded by good players who don’t need the ball a lot. In this trade the Clippers get rid of Marcus Morris’s 17 mil expiring contract and keep their future backcourt in Bones Hyland and Terrance Mann.
Sixers unfortunately have to part ways with Tyrese Maxey, but do form the best duo in the league in Damian Lillard and Joel Embiid. They trade away Tobias Harris’s 39 mil expiring contract to make the money work. In exchange for James Harden, the Sixers add key role players in Norman Powell and Marcus Morris Sr. to pair with their new duo.
Damian Lillard finally gets traded. In return the Trailblazers receive Tyrese Maxey, a 22 year old guard with all star potential who’s still on his rookie contract. Blazers also get Tobias Harris who’s on an expiring deal, along with a young wing in Brandon Boston Jr, and 2 FRP’s. Although 2 first round picks don’t seem like a lot one of them is the Clippers 2028 pick and by that time if they’re still on the team Kawhi Leonard and Paul George would be 37 and 38, so I would expect the Clippers pick that year to be very valuable. The other first round pick is the Sixers 2029 pick. By that time if they’re still on the team Joel Embiid would be 35 and Damian Lillard would be 39, so I would also expect the Sixers pick that year to be very valuable as well.
