Sixers get valuable Derozen and Caruso, plus Drummond hoping to stay in a top 6 spot to await Embiid’s potential playoff return. Derozen is still productive, is expiring, but can be picked up at 30 million per year for two years as a productive player or trade piece due to lack of free agents next year. Even if Embiid doesn’t come back, the Sixers are set up for the next few seasons to maximize that last few years of Embiid’s prime.

Bulls get Reed and Melton as rotation players, Springer as a young SG prospect, two big expirings, and three top 3 protected draft picks for once Embiid is no longer as productive. I’m assuming each one becomes unprotected in the year after if the pick doesn’t convey.
