This is a Rockets rebuild and yes I know the title is cringe but it feels better to have all the words starting with an "R". The Rockets get Sexton at point guard and extend him to a well deserved fat contract. The Cavs do this because I Sexton has a big pay-day coming up and I don't think Cleveland wants to pay that. Next, the Mavs trade Porzingis to since although the Luka-Kristaps duo is kind of working, it doesn't meet the expectations that Cuban had in mind when he chose to take on that Porzingis' big contract. The Rockets trade a couple assets for The Unicorn in an attempt to pair breakthrough star Christian Wood with another skilled big man. They also sign Oubre Jr in free agency to get a shooter (and hope this season was a fluke). In addition to this, they sign former NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala to a big contract he can't refuse and hope he become a mentor figure to young stars. This is the Rockets rebuild.
