Hornets Get Lauri to head the team and get a couple young pieces that have fallen out of rotation in Utah. They also are able to unburden themselves of Lamelo's unpredictable health that they cannot manage with him being the focal point of the team. This gives them room to move forward with Markannen, Miller, Kon, and Miles. This may be enough to move them into play in contention making the pick they send this year less valuable and putting the organization closer to where they want to be and ending the drought.

Jazz take on a sizeable contract in a young offensively gifted player that only sees limited games a season due to injury. This is a gamble in itself. They also get a young player with upside in Tidjane though like Cody Williams and Isiah Collier he has fallen out of the rotation. Jazz win here with the Hornets '26 pick if it stays top ten (Depending on chemistry and Brandon Miller's health) and the 27 Dallas pick which could be good but in a weak draft. This move should also solidify the Jazz holding on to their pick this year.
