The Pelicans are in a position where if they draft high they are going to keep the pick but if they slide in the draft they then have to decide if the caliber of player is worth rebuilding around in a trade Zion scenario. Pelicans get Lauri and Walker in this deal to put around Zion. They also get Duncan as a specialty player off the bench when they need a 3. They give up Trey which is tough to swallow but they are getting big upgrades in LM and WK. They replace the awkward and cringe worthy fit between zion and ingram with Markannen and this move should move them into the top 3 in the west.

Jazz get 4 1st round picks in this deal as well as two young players. One being a veteran in the league so you know what you are getting and the other with great potential that may or may not be making for a fun gamble. The Jazz also get quite worse helping them drive for Flagg.
