It's come to my attention that the previous part 6 of this series was unrealistic and I agree with that take so I decided to re-do the trade for part 6.5.

I've decided to bring back the old KD trades series as there is still no end in sight but we have an update: KD wants to go to the Celtics or Sixers along with his previous preferences. In this trade, Durant winds up on the Celtics in exchange for an all-star in Brown and reigning DPOY (deserving or not, he's elite) in Smart, along with several pick swaps and an unprotected first. (I'm not sure how to make pick swaps work on here so each of the picks protected by favorability would mean the Nets have the right to swap with the Celtics in some way with each of these picks.) This ends up with the Celtics having no picks except swaps for the rest of the decade, but they now have Brogdon, White, Durant, Tatum and Williams starting with a still solid and deep bench, while Brooklyn gets a great start to its rebuild.
