Celtics - Boston needs to shore up their center depth as Horford may leave in FA and either way he is turning 39. Porzingis is also getting older and more and more injury prone. Kessler is a great guy to bring in during a year in which Boston won’t be contending without Jayson Tatum. He’s young but one of the best rim protectors and efficient scorers in the league. The price is also relatively cheap as they trade last years first rounder in Baylor and this years first rounder along with multiple seconds. Hauser is a loss but he can be replaced in FA or the draft. Kessler is also on his rookie contract so he’s super cheap and this saves Boston lots of cap space.

Jazz - Kessler is a nice young player for Utah but this is a nice trade to add more picks and youth to their team. They land Baylor who was a first rounder last year, and Davison who is still only 21 and can develop. They also land 4 picks, one first and 3 seconds which will help bring in young talent in this years draft and in future drafts. Hauser is also a piece that is only 27 and could be on the roster the next time that Utah is competive.
