Why for the Bulls?

  • Things are a mess and a rebuild was needed. Here they get an expiring and picks

Why for the Warriors? Randle gives the Warriors a brand new look and could pair nicely as a 2nd scorer who isn't depended on during crunch time with Steph there. They also swap Kuminga for Grimes to balance the roster as both are talented young players but Grimes fits what the Warriors want to do better than Kuminga does currently

Why for the Knicks? The Randle experiment is on year 5 and clearly isn't working. DeRozan is reliable and can be depended on to be a number 2 (sometimes a 1) guy next to Brunson. Similar to the Warriors, Kuminga (post trade) fits this Randle-less roster much better than Grimes does. Grimes is already getting lost in the rotation late in games thanks to the DDV addition in the off-season
