According to reports the Knicks are showing interest in acquiring Jordan Clarkson and the Lakers in acquiring Sexton.
Knicks: NY have a stockpile of picks that they can use to make a stronger roster around Jalen Brunson. A Player they have shown interest in is Jordan Clarkson having an incredible season so far working well in the backcourt at creating shots and hitting them efficiently. Clarkson would work well in NY backcourt with Brunson helping take some off the pressure of him making it easier for him to score. He could also come off the bench which he is knows very well since being a six man of the year not to long ago, he could lead the bench lineup on the floor and make sure that there is still a offensive presence even with Brunson/Randle off.
Lakers: The lakers offence sucks with no creation and all the focus on LeBron and AD. They need a reliable player who you can count on to get buckets and score, They have tried it in Dlo but he isn't reliable enough so they have to look elsewhere. Here comes Sexton a great offensive player with a winning mentality that this team needs. When this team goes through a slump you can count on Sexton to pick them up and get them going by many hustle plays pumping up the teams morale. He is a perfect fit for a Laker team trying to find something to boost their team back into contention.
Jazz: Utah is hot at the moment and if they stay at this rate then they might not need to trade these players in the end. Though if they are wanting to get some high picks in the lottery they wouldn't mind maybe trading some players to maybe slow down their current streak. This trade doesn't necessarily make them bad as they gain some young pieces who can also help now, this includes Hachimura who has shown great defence on the floor still being young enough to fit the Jazz timeline. They get Grimes, Sims and Reddish all who can form into great players as they blossom into their careers. Lastly they get Fournier who can add some shooting for now and can be dumped for cap space later as well as 1 FRP and 2 SRP.
