NOTE: the picks have not been finalized, this is just what I think it could be. either way i know that we sent out 3 second round picks, and got back a second rounder ourselves. It'll be eligible tomorrow as December 15 is when free agents become trade eligible.

Golden State Warriors: Dennis Schroder is an interesting acquisition. TBH, I like it. he's having one of the best seasons of his career, has shown he can be a good player on a playoff team during his stints with the Hawks, Thunder, and Lakers, is making affordable money, and can fit right into the Melton role. we know how good the Warriors were playing when Melton was there, and Schroder slides in now. he's a good shooter, playmaker, solid defender, and can run the offense when Steph rests. He could also start, so we'll see how they play things. The Warriors have tons of guards including GP2, Podz, and Hield plus Moody, all of whom deserve minutes. I like this trade though, Dennis has always cooked us in the past, and adds stuff that we need. he's also expiring and could potentially be re-signed for cheaper.

Brooklyn Nets: Dennis was having one of the best seasons of his career, putting up 18 points, 7 assists, on 39% from 3 while shooting over 6 per game. the Nets have overachieved thus far, playing very competitive under Jordi Fernandez, and I'm surprised they made this move this early. I thought they were going to wait it out until the February trade deadline, but i guess they felt this was the highest his value was going to get. Getting another expiring contract and some draft capital is a solid return however, and it's even better that they basically acquired Dennis for nothing, and then got some picks when they traded him. Does this signal the Nets are ready to start selling maybe everyone on their roster? Dorian Finney-Smith and Cameron Johnson are two of the hottest names, (apparently GSW did not have talks on them), but there's potentially Nic Claxton and Cam thomas being available as well.

What other trades do you think could happen, not just that these teams should make, but in general? i'd love to talk, and give me your thoughts on this deal.
