So, it's free agency: the rockets just got lucky in the draft and managed to select Rob Dillingham out of Kentucky, and they don't see neither Dillon Brooks or Jalen Green(finishes the seaskn horribly, especially in efficiency). So they decide to make this trade with the knicks for Divincenzo, Josh Hart, Miles McBride and a 2025 unprotected first rounder.

Why do the Rockets do this?: Green was supposed to be rockets' star, and even though he is a second overall pick rockets think it's better for both parties to part ways, especially after drafting Dillingham.

Why do the Knicks do this?: Green, as I said before, is a second round pick, and the Knicks think that there is a motivation if he is one. They might not see him as a star, but they definitely see him as a great starter in a contender. And in this deal they also get Brooks, who is a very valuable piece tobtheir rotation.
