They wouldn't have to worry about overpaying Van in FA, Pascal is only on a 1yr contract would likely 'break the bank' staying with Raps
Raps still NEED to pay OG in which trading away Pascal gives yiu the financial freedom to do so 💵
If Pascal left, Raptors still have Og and Scottie who are forwards that they can give the keys too
Raptors would get a dominant big rebounder, who shoots 35% from the 3 which is very needed
Raptors also gain a very similar player back as Van but with way better shooting splits with 44% from the feild and 39% from the 3.
After losing Pascal Raptors would gain back another forward in Nassir Little whose 23 with tons of potential and can shoot the 3 at a high percentage.
Raptors could sign Trent back in the off-season and have a lineup of Cj, Trent, Og, Scottie, Jonas which would TREMENDOUSLY improve there shooting problems. 🎯
How would this benefit the Blazers 🧐?
This would be very beneficial to trade Dame and get assets over possibly losing out on simons, Sharpe and more of the young talent surrounded on the Blazers roster.
If Blazers trade there potential players they could end up in a bad position if they can't contend after trading them.
Zion is only 22 and is averaging 26/7/5 with 60% from the feild and 37% from 3 which is incredible at that age.
getting Van will really help elevate all the young talent with zion, simons, Sharpe and more. Not only with expertise but with his pass first plays averaging 7 apg in the NBA.
Pels also acquire 3 1sts and up and coming guard dyson Daniels.
The Blazers should resign Grant long term next to zion to keep a winning culture. There projected lineup would probably be Fred Simons grant Zion Nurfic With Sharpe as the 6th man.
If I were Blazers I would trade nurfic in a deal for Myles turner or wait for Kat if he's available in near future to space the floor with Zion and let him eat in the paint!! 🍗🍗

The Pelicans would become instant contenders and most likely favorites adding two playoff performers next to Brandon Ingram
Pelicans don't lose too much considering Zion was injury prone for them in recent times, Cj isn't known for his playoff stints, Jonas is only getting older by the year
Pelicans would look like the favorites of the west after this move and would likely start Dame, Herbert, Ingram, Murphy, Pascal.
If I were Pelicans following this move I would trade for gafford off the Wizards for better rebounding and defense help after losing Jonas or Trade for Naz Reid off the Wolves who can do it all including shoot 3s as they already have two star studded centers.
