Why Each Team Does This:
Miami Heat: They get a perfect player to put next to Bam. The trade for Turner makes Bam better on defense and offense. PJ Washington brings the heat a bigger backup power forward.
Charlotte Hornets: They do this trade to get cheaper as the hornets would have to pay PJ Washington something in the range of 12-15 million dollars but Caleb Martin is getting paid 6.4 million for the next three years. They also get a first round pick which is always a plus. Gabe Vincent gives them a much needed backup guard who can play make, play defense, and catch and shoot threes. Highsmith is a project and he can get minutes on the hornets as they have a lack of power forwards on the team.
Indiana Pacers: They finally trade Turner and get two first round picks, a young player who has shown flashes of being a good role player, and a player who they can flip to another team like the lakers in the middle of the season.
