Suns : C+

This is a win now move for a team that’s not a win now team. They give up a first rounder for two players not worth a first rounder. However, they do get off of Nurkic’s contract and get a second rounder in return so it’s not bad value. Just not the kind of move that the Suns need to make at this point. If they want to contend, Martin and Micic don’t really move the needle for them.

Hornets : B+

This is a solid move for Charlotte. They net as first rounder and cover their need for a center with Nurkic. They do have to take on his contract but they’ve got plenty of space for now. Martin and Micic also had no future there anyway. The pick isn’t a major upgrade over the second they give up but a first rounder is still a first rounder.
