The Bulls swap Vucevic and young talent for Poeltl, Washington and added veteran depth. They provide much needed defense and versatility to the Chicago frontcourt that was sorely lacking last year. Poeltl in particular would give them desperately needed rim protection that could make the Bulls dark horse threats in the East.

The Hornets dump Haywards contract while paying the price of Washington and Jones. In return, Vucevic could provide them a new offensive weapon at center. Coby White is also a great fit, as he could either play the point to give Melo some rest or be a dynamic secondary scorer next to him in the lineup.

The Spurs dump Poeltl and veteran contracts for one year of Love in addition to Dalen Terry and Kai Jones. They are both raw young talents, but have intriguing upside. To sweeten the deal even further, they also receive a 2027 top 8 protected first from the Bulls.

The Cavaliers swap Love's contract for Hayward's, which is one year longer. He can provide them much needed creation from the wing if healthy, so the extra year may not be such a negative. Plumlee can also be a weapon providing playmaking from the center position, allowing them to run defense heavy lineups. They also get a 2024 top 10 protected first from the Hornets to compensate for the salary.
