CLE:

The Cavs retool by swapping Garland for two elite 3-and-D wings with Brown and Johnson. Olynyk is also a nice floor-spacing big to have off the bench.

Mitchell, Brown, Johnson, Mobley, Allen

Porter Jr, Merrill, Strus, Niang, Olynyk

TOR:

Garland fills a large hole in the Raptors lineup by being able to provide some playmaking and shot-creation outside of Scottie Barnes as a second option.

Garland, Quickley, Barrett, Barnes, Poeltl

Mitchell, Walter, Dick, Agbaji, Boucher

BKN:

The Nets get two decent firsts and some salary filler for Johnson, which seems like solid value in his current market.

Thomas, LeVert, Bogdanović, Finney-Smith, Claxton

Schroder, Johnson, Williams, Simmons, Sharpe…

Love this site (been using it for years). It is a fairly small community though compared to Reddit. I was wondering if anyone knows any good subs for NBA trade discussion?

r/NBAtradeideas is the only one I know of and it is fairly small….

Knicks:

KAT to New York becomes a reality. He opens up the floor for a true 5-out offense which would make Brunson DEADLY. If they need more size and defense, Mitchell Robinson (when healthy) is a great guy to throw out there with or without him on the floor. This would be a scary team.

Minnesota:

KAT was important in the playoffs as a big body who wouldn't get overwhelmed by Jokic in the post which allowed Gobert to roam and wreak havoc. However, I feel like Reid could also play that role well without compromising their spacing. Randle is actually similar to KAT in that he is probably overextended as a second option, but is on a MUCH better contract for them. Schroder is also a good pickup as a quality two way pg to give them some depth there. They also get the Bucks 2025 first and move up a couple picks in the draft.

Brooklyn:

Not a ton to say here. A late first seems like fair value for Schroder's expiring contract, especially because they otherwise wouldn't have a pick this ye…

Lineup:

Suggs, BI, Franz, Paolo, Ihart

Jones, Black, Houstan, Isaac, Wagner

The biggest move would be getting BI without giving up any core pieces. He is just an all-around good offensive player who can do a little bit of everything. He also fits Orlando's ethos of lengthy players.

I believe New Orleans would do this. WCJ and Anthony are good young players who fit well with them while Jett was a recent lottery pick. They also get two additional firsts to sweeten the deal.

Hartenstein would be a worthy upgrade over WCJ. He is healthier and his rim protection would be a great value add. He is also a skilled offensive player who has great touch anywhere near the hoop.

Tyus is a great backup point guard and would slot in well if Orlando wanted to go small. He is a very underrated passer and decision maker while being efficient from all over the floor. While he is small, he is pound for pound not a bad defender….

Orlando has more cap than they know what to do with, but instead of splurging on an injury prone, aging star I have them picking up two quality starters on solid contracts. They also ship WCJ for a high potential young wing.

Jones is a great playmaker and decision maker while being efficient from all over the floor. He is a small guard, but is pound for pound a solid defender. Just a nice player on a nice contract that is very tradable.

Hartenstein replaces the playmaking of WCJ well and fills their need for a rim protector. He can't shoot threes, but he dosent have many other weaknesses in his game. Also a very tradable contract.

The last move I have them making is dealing WCJ to the Thunder for Dieng. There's really no need for him once signing Hartenstein and it is worth the upgrade.

I do think OKC would do this. WCJ would be a good fit next to Chet as a versatile, big body who can space the floor and even play make a bit. This trade also leaves them open to make another big mo…
