Super super strange deal that may actually have some substance to it.

MINNESOTA- gets off of KATS money and the awkward fit of KAT and Gobert (plus Naz Reid). They have a serious team with a core of Conley, Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Pascal, Gobert with Naz Reid and Kyle Anderson off the bench. As well as players like Jalen Nowell. They can hopefully manage to get Pascal to extend/sign in free agency with a solid playoff push. If not, Pascal walks away and they have lots of flexibility for the summer to build around Anthony Edwards.

TORONTO- Toronto moves off of Pascal, a player that doesn't necessarily fit around their timeline and they make a push to build around Scottie Barnes. With Pascal gone, Scottie is empowered to take on more primary ball handling duties and more of a scoring role. KAT is an ideal centre to pair around Scottie as he can be fed on the block but also spaces the floor allowing Scottie to drive the lane easier. Toronto sending out a starting 5 of Schroeder, Gary Trent, Scottie, OG, KAT with Jakob Poeltl as a key bench piece who can fill the backup 5 minutes and share time with KAT. Gradey Dick and Chris Boucher will likely also be key bench players
