Eli John Ndiaye is an undersized center prospect who doesnt wow you as an athlete which you expect from a 6'8 center. He does have good athletecism but nothing out of the ordinary. Ideally this is someone who you develop to be a power forward who can be a great secondary rim protector and can play small ball 5 with good cutting skills and offball offensive play. He can spot up in the corner and has shown flashes in the mid range with some movement scoring. Handle looks decent but in general he is not going to impact the game day 1. He is 21 and theres a lot of time to develop more outside skills that could make him a more reasonable 4 option with more consistent shooting but what his use for the hawks will be the fact he can play in our offensive system with good reactions, awareness and off ball movement while being a strong transition player while being a decent defender. hopefully we dont have to see him play too much in the coming year but with some development he could become a nice bench piece. Simply a system player who has some potential. He did play for Real Madrid so he did learn under some great coaches and definitely understands how to play in a pro system!
