The Headline of this deal is clearly Giannis to Golden State. However each team would benefit from this deal moving forward in the current direction their franchises are heading.
The Hawks trade the expiring deals in Kennard & Porzingis, to land Myles Turner who fits within the Quin Synder philosophy of athleticism, spacing and shooting whilst having another long term big to interchange or play alongside Onyeka Okongwu. KCP adds playoff experience, shooting and defense whilst Ty Jerome's solid contract, ball handling and playmaking add this element to the roster which they maybe slightly missing since Young's departure. The Hawks giving up a first and second round pick from the 26 draft doesn't mortgage their future (they still retain the New Orleans Pelicans/Bucks pick) and means they get players in return for their expiring deals. The Hawks give up on Risacher, as he has been a fit within the Quin Snyder style of offense, giving the Bucks the opportunity to develop a clearly talented player
Golden State goes all in with this deal, going heavily to put their roster in position to win now. The opportunity to aquire Giannis and Porzingis, with great complimentary pieces in Portis, Trent Jr and Prince means Golden State gets the opportunity to reshape their roster and go all in for a title. If Porzingis was able to stay healthy they become ligitimate title contenders overnight providing spacing for Giannis to drive into. Butler's injury makes it slightly easier to move his contract on and a necessary sacrifice of Draymond Green to make the trade happen. Hield's contract is offloaded and Kuminga gets an opportunity to shine in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee trades key roster pieces in Giannis, Turner and Portis but is able to acquire significant draft capital and loads of young assets to develop moving forward. Morant being a multiple time all star gets the opportunity to continue to be the man in Milwaukee, whilst Risacher and Kuminga get the chance to signifcantly improve their offensive contribution and role. Kennard's expiring deal and Hield's bad contract are taken on to make the money work.
Since the JJJ trade Memphis have had cap space to work with. In this trade they absorb the Butler & Draymond Green money to make this trade work whilst getting a first round pick swap and 2 second rounders to make this happen. They move on from Morant and don't really tie themselves down to long term contract bother, with both Butler and Green's contract lasting a maximum of 2 years.
All in all, the Hawks upgrade in the short term, Golden State gives up everything to win now, Milwaukee gets a lot assets to reset and Memphis gets draft capital in exchange of short term cap space.
