CLE: Cleveland give up on their double big and 3 guard experiment, moving mobley to the 5 permanently and trading Allen for a real POA defender. They also end up with Saddiq Bey, a 3pt sniper who fits nicely as an off-ball threat, and Kevon Looney, who can offer some elite rebounding off the bench along with experience winning playoff series.

ATL: Atlanta move away from Kristaps Porzingis, who has been dead money due to his inability to play consistently. When playing he has an incredible impact on both ends, but when he isn’t available Atlanta are significantly worse for rebuilding and rim protection. Jarett Allen is nothing special, but can immediately fix these issues, and add a level of experience to a fairly young Atlanta team who could potentially be adding a top 5 pick in the offseason.

NOP: New Orleans are stuck in no mans land, with the second worst record in the association and no pick. I believe they should sell high on Jones and also Zion eventually, building around a younger core of Queen, Fears and Trey Murphy. So in this trade they gain assets while also opening up more minutes for Queen, Fears, Hawkins and Matkovic, and lastly Porzingis expires in the offseason, freeing up $30m cap space so New Orleans can choose a direction depending on who is still on the roster.
