Why does Toronto do this?

The Raptors are struggling. Despite a breakout year from Scottie Barnes, the team is 7-8 and sitting at the 10th seed, barely inside the play in. Trae would give them a huge boost offensively as a competent PG and star to lead in place of their loss of FVV.

Why does Atlanta do this?

Atlanta is 7-7 and in a similar spot to Toronto. Trae going would open up the PG spot for Dejounte yo move back and give Kobe Bufkin more minutes. I would love OG on this team defensively to help us in the corner on those 3s. GTJ and Gradey are vital pieces to this trade and would be great for the young core. We also get 3 extra picks.
