The Atlanta Hawks has done an amazing job adding key pieces to what has no clearly become a legitimate playoff push with adding guys like Kristaps, Kennard, and NAW. They decide they want to add more depth to the roster and trade for Walker Kessler. By adding Kessler proves that they do not believe in Porzingis long term and willing to trade for one of the top centers in the trade market. This also may mean that Okongwu may be on the move if this trade does happen as their will be too many centers and power forwards on roster to be able to give them fair minutes going forward.

The Jazz will do this trade to allow Filiopowski to become the next Kessler and/or Gobert for the Jazz. This time, they have more of a scoring center instead of a inside the basket, pick and roll kind of guy on offense. They pick up two firsts (one being the 2026 that the Hawks got in the Derik Queen draft day trade) and they focus on rebuilding the team and hopefully land the first pick this time around.
