Since the Giannis trade saga, Jaylen Brown's name has been rife in trade talks with the Hawks being mentioned as a potential suitor. Looking at the Celtics needs from a Brown trade I have put together a potential trade scenario which would make sense for all teams involved.

After fully guaranteeing Buddy Hield's contract for the 26-27 season, the Hawks are expected to use the vet in a trade. Also sending Memphis former Number 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher would fit the Grizzlies rebuilding timeline and allow them build out their young core alongside Boozer and Coward. Kuminga would be a major carrot to dangle in front of the Celtics from the Hawks side in a Brown trade as well. The Hawks giving up Mo Gueye would be difficult but potentially a necessity in order for the Celtics to listen. Defensively Gueye has a lot of the good elements of the modern big, being athletic and switchable and offensively he shown the ability to shoot the 3, with room for growth.

The Celtics have acknowledged that talent wise they are not able to compete with the current roster for the eastern conference. With this trade they improve their depth significantly and also add first round draft capital in specific years which allows them to make a big trade splash again in the future. Giving up Pritchard alongside Brown would be tough as he has been a core member of their successful years and on a team friendly contract, however the opportunity to acquire 4 rotation ready pieces and picks could be too much to pass up on.

The Grizzlies finally move on from the Ja Morant era, getting younger and acquiring Pritchard to compete for minutes with newly drafted Stirz at the PG position. The Grizzlies give Boston a big potential piece in making this trade happen alongside the contract of Cam Spencer which may be the best value in the NBA. Acquiring 2nd rounders improves their draft capital moving forward. Hield would be a much need Veteran presence alongside KCP on this young Grizzlies roster
