It's no secret that the Heat have underperformed this season after the Bucks got their revenge. It's also no secret that Kawhi is supposedly interested in joining the Heat. However, that is a little unlikely considering this season's playoffs Kawhi might have second thoughts. So, with the cap space that Pat Riley designed for this offseason, the Heat can make a splash on a bunch of complementary pieces. First this is to use Iguodala's contract to get Harrison Barnes who can play the defensive stretch 4 that the Heat missed so much during this season. The 2nd round pick that they get could turn into a first depending on negotiation but Okpala's youth should be enough for the deal to get done. Then in free agency they take a shot at Lonzo Ball who can very much fit with the Heat culture as he is Gritty on defense, can playmake alongside Jimmy, and can hit the 3 consistanly. He plays like a 3-and-d wing off the ball which can still allow Bam and Butler to play make and free space in the paint for them. Another priority is bringing Duncan Robinson back on anything within reason. His off ball movement frees up so much space for the non-shooters such as Jimmy and Bam. Signing guys like Otto Porter and Cousins to 1 year deals to prove themselves after coming off of injuries. They can both be rotational pieces on the Heat and work for their money in the following offseason. As for a backup PG the heat have 2 options, they could bring back Kendrick Nunn or they could decline Dragic's team option and sign him to a cheaper deal for a longer period of time. I would think that Dragic would be cheaper so he seems like the guy to go with as he can score and play make off the bench. He can be more effective in the minutes he gets as well because he doesn't have to play starting level minutes and tire himself out.
