This is a straight offense for defense trade. Cleveland had the best defense rating in the league and Sac had the best offensive rating in the league. Sac was ranked 24th in defense and Cleveland was ranked 24th in 3PA a game. This trade would hurt for both teams, but would ultimately balance out each team. Yes, Mobley's standard stats look better, but the space created by Murray was a major reason why Sac flourished this year. He was 41% on 6 3PA a game. Mobley was only 21% on 1.3 3PA a game.

Disclosure, I am very happy with Murray and his growth. I think he will end up passing Huerter and Barnes as the 3rd option. I would hate to see Sac trade another blue chip prospect, but this trade addresses major flaws for each team.
