Why the Knicks do this: Knicks are clearly in win now mode, but their bench is seriously lacking for a title run. This trade gives them 3 solid backup pieces. Robinson is always injured and the Knicks have been trying to move off him for a while now. They are giving up a decent amount of draft capital, but this is the best Knicks team in the last 30 years, so they should be trying to go for it all. Kispert and Bey are only 25, meaning they can be flipped for positive value in the years to come if it does not work out. If you do not know who Kispert is, please check him out. 40% 3pt shooter. Knicks will now have a very respectable bench: Payne, Mcbride, Kispert, Bey, Jonas

Why the Wizards do this: Wizards should be trying to lose as much games as possible. Jonas, Bey, and Kispert will only help them to win games, decreasing their chances for the #1 pick (cooper flag). They get their own 1st round pick back (super valuable), and also some decent draft capital. Maybe throw in 1 or 2 more 2nds, but Knicks cannot give any more 1sts because of the Stiepen rule.
