Why the Knicks do this trade: Knicks need depth after losing Donte and Randle. They get their backup center who is a great shot blocker and rebounder who can also play minutes with KAT, running the 2 big strategy like Minnesota did. Kessler is also very young and still has lots of potential, meaning Kessler can be traded later in his career for good value. Clarkson is also a proven scorer who can play meaningful minutes in the playoffs. This move would be the Knicks last move as they push for the title.

Why the Jazz do this: Jazz should be tanking, as there is no reason to try and be mid this year. Kessler has been in trade rumors all of last year, and Clarkson is a logical trade piece of the Jazz. The Jazz get decent draft capital, a player they could flip for another pick or 2 (Robinson), and 2 young assets.
