I've noticed a lot of my trades tend to have the same players going to New York and I wanted to mix this up a bit. So in this one, Mo Bamba is the only player who's appeared in one of my previous trades. To the team by team breakdown!

Knicks: Starting off with my Knicks, they clearly need a boost somewhere and this trade sees them boost their bench while holding onto their first round picks. I have a feeling that the Hornets or even the Magic would want one of the protected FRPs but I'll lay out why I have them receiving second round picks instead in each of their breakdowns below. But for the Knicks, they get a solid backup center (and NYC native) in Mo Bamba who also lets them stretch the floor. The Magic have a glut of frontcourt players and I think would be amenable to trading him away. They also get Jalen McDaniels who is likely to leave the Hornets and they are more likely to trade since they risk losing him for nothing since he'll be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Oubre has also been having a great year although he is still injured right now which is why the price is lower (and he's also an unrestricted free agent so again they don't have as much leverage). Finally, the Knicks take back a PG with some potential in Hyland. Now that Murray is back, he's not getting the same playing time and reportedly has clashed with the coaching staff. All in all, this brings back some solid defenders in Mo Bamba and McDaniels, a decent defender in Oubre and most importantly gives the Knicks some offense for the bench unit.

Hornets: The Hornets are a mess this season. They're in full tank mode and need to surround LaMelo with some talent soon. They get Obi (ugh that always hurts to type) who would be dynamic alongside LaMelo and would finally get the playing time he deserves. They also take a flier on Reddish who again would finally get some playing time. And for the Hornets, they replace two players they risk losing for nothing with 2 who they would have bird rights to. They also get a couple of second rounders for their troubles as well.

Magic: As I said above, the Magic have a ton of frontcourt players, and several who are very talented. They simply don't have enough playing time for all of them and it was a bit of a surprise to see Mo Bamba come back this season as well. Where they need help is the frontcourt, where Cole Anthony has been decent if unspectacular PG who can score but still shows his inexperience. Suggs has similarly been disappointing, especially given where he went in the draft and Fultz has looked better but still has a lot of room for improvement. Rose would be a great mentor for this group and could play a role similar to Chris Paul on the Suns team.

Nuggets: The Nuggets are a really great team and there's not much room for improvement (especially with the large contracts of Jokic, Murray and Porter Jr. However they are reportedly seeking some backup frontcourt help and Hartenstein would be a great fit. He's kind of a poor-mans version of Jokic anyway so the team would be able to integrate him fairly quickly. As I said above, the team seems to be moving on from Hyland and shopping him so this gives them a frontcourt player they can actually use and some draft compensation to boot.
