So I didn’t love this, until I was like, fuck it.

Why each team does it:

Portland: they have 4 centers, get back a solid pf who can get some playing time assuming they trade Jerami grant and get some draft capital as well. Can prob swap Clarke for a couple more seconds as well. Given Portland situation of centers and robs health they aren’t gonna get more than seconds in terms of draft capital for either of duop or rob, and they get a first.

Memphis: smart and Randle r pretty equivalent 3 point shooters. Randle obviously is a much greater on ball creator and rebounder while smart is better defensively. Having Randles rebounding will allow Jaren to play the 5 w out taking a huge hit on the boards and maintaining similar spacing if smart was there. The fit is questionable but the talent is 100% there among the top 4.

Starters: ja, bane, Randle, jjj and any combo of like the 4 sg u have in konchar, Vince Williams, kennard, drose Bench: drose, other sg, gg, santi, Edey

Knicks: they FULLY buy in to the defensive mindset. Smart is a decent passer so we don’t get back near the creation of Randle, but a committed among Mikal, og, Donte, hart, smart, and McBride will hopefully be enough behind Brunson at the helm. Rob Williams and duop r huge for center depth and when they r all healthy duop can play the 4 off the bench. The lineup here is rly awesome.

Like this is just so incredibly fun for the Knicks, does it make them better? Maybe? Does it give them 5 guys who have been in dpoy conversation since 2021? 100% it does.
