Nick Richard’s seems like the guy. He’s not absurdly expensive like a walker kessler would be, not injury prone or hard to match salary for guys like Rob Williams, Jonas, or Steven Adams, and has played consistent starting center minutes recently.
Richard’s would prob be the worst center out of all of these guys, but the Knicks don’t need anyone great. They need a solid backup who can fill in for Mitch when he inevitably gets hurt.
Trade can happen as soon as season starts basically. Hornets fans, you r still rebuilding, all draft capital is good capital. If u insist on smth better than throw in the Detroit protected first as well and get ride of the seconds, tho Nick rly isn’t good enough for that at this point and at the age of 26.
I think both teams leave happy and the Knicks secure themselves good center play while leaving the door open for lineup creativity as we don’t need to play Mitch or Nick tbh
