Building on some trades that I've done and that I've seen others do (Shoutout to this trade: https://fanspo.com/nba/s/general/trades/mMsR-OIPea4Wxe/knicks-bolster-their-depth-grizzlies-get-a-center-they-can-trust-come-playoff-time-bulls-get-a-good-return-for-dosunmu), here's a 4 team trade that I think gives a good return for all involved.
Knicks: The Knicks get their backup center and a solid wing in Aldama and Dosunmu. Aldama is a solid stretch 5 who rebounds well and would be a good fit for the second unit. He's only 23 and given the amount of big men that look to get paid on the Grizzlies, it's unlikely that he would be extended. Dosunmu has improved each season in the league and is a solid defender who would fit great in the second unit. While he has two years left on his contract, and the Bulls would probably want to keep him, he's likely outperformed his current contract and they might not be able to keep him. The other bonus of getting Aldama is it makes Achiuwa a good fit as either the 3rd string center or a backup 4 since Aldama's shooting can offset his own lack of shooting. It makes the Knicks a deeper team and one that would be an even tougher out.
Bulls: The Bulls do this to get Dadiet, a recent 1st round draft pick, on a rookie contract and Konchar who's on a 3 year affordable contract as well. They get some draft equity but mainly this is giving them good controlled contracts (and youth in the case of Dadiet) in exchange for Dosunmu, who they might lose after his current contract runs out.
Rockets: I've covered this in my other trades but it's looking like Landale may be redundant on this team now that Eason is healthy, Jabari Smith Jr is playing some center (not including Sengun at center who's not going anywhere) and the signing of Adams. Mitch gives them a center who they can afford to sit and get healthy and who is one of the best rim protectors and rebounders in the league when healthy. He's on an affordable multi year contract (Adams could be gone after this year) and fits the timeline of this young team. It makes sense to take a gamble on him and he also gives them a decent middle salary to include in trades if they want to try for a larger salaried player.
Grizzlies: The Grizzlies do this to replace Aldama with a player who's under contract for several more seasons and is durable. Aldama has been solid for them but it's hard to see how they keep him with so many players hitting extensions (GG Jackson, Vince Williams Jr., Jake LaRavia, etc). Losing Konchar is a bit of a bummer as he was a big success story for the Grizzlies, but ultimately, he's 28 years old and they have other shooters on the team. They get a second round pick (and may need 1-2 more to get this done) as well.
