I do not understand every laker fans obsession on this site with trading Rui for either Grant or Cam Johnson, I for one think Rui as he is currently playing better than Cam and not that much worst then Grant. And on top of that everyone is giving a FRP with Rui to aquire these players?!?!? Are we joking? Are we watching the same NBA???

Grant is making 10+ mil more than Rui and is 4 years older. I understand the idea of consolidating some of our players, i.e: Rui and vando or Rui and Gabe for Grant, but having to give up 1 FRP if not 2 for that poor contract is just not smart. The only way it makes any sense in my mind is if Rui at some point reverts to the non rebounder and defender he has been or If its just a couple second round picks.

Would love to hear the thoughts of others, Does anyone else share these same thoughts? I have yet to see a trade that involves Grant coming to the Lakers that really intrigues me.
