The Lakers will need a great 3 and D role player that plays great defence against great offensive players such as LeBron, KD, Paul George and more. But they also need great shooting. The Suns can give up Jae Crowder who is able to do both defend and shoot and they also get a great shooter that they could've gotten in free agency in Damion Lee who can be used like Matt Ryan, and be played in spurts during the game to provide good shooting and an option to kick out in the corner.

The Suns need a better offensive organiser not named Chris Paul. Kendrick Nunn is able to create his own shot and get people to their spots and will benefit De'Andre Ayton as a lob threat. This will allow the Suns to play an offensively over-powering closing five of CP3-Nunn-Booker-Bridges-Ayton. The amount of defence to contain that closing five is insane. The Suns also need a better rebounder after posting an abysmal ranking in the NBA of 25th in the league in rebounding, and a lob threat behind Ayton. Damian Jones is able to fill that void, someone who can go and rebound and catch 2 or 3 lobs per game. This will essentially mean that Monty Williams will be able to play Jock Landale at the 4 and defensively that will be scary for any driving penetration having two 6"10 players in the paint. To replace their hustle and defence on the perimeter, Juan Toscano-Anderson has proven to be a critical part of a championship team, pouring his heart and soul onto the basketball court every time he is out there. He was seen to be mentored by Chris Paul during the game in the preseason against the Suns, so playing with him will not be a problem. for either side. Maybe the hustle and defensive poise of JTA is the missing piece to a successful championship run for the Suns?
