Being realistic, Pelicans hate the Lakers and will not trade Herb to them. Also Miami will not move Wiggins because is perfect for them. So this 2 are not serious candidates. So what Lakers need? Defense, 3pt shooting, atleticism and bench scoring.

With this move Lakers will add defense with all three players (perimetal defense with KCP & Ellis and rim-protection and rebounding with Robert), 3pt shooting with KCP & Ellis, Atleticism with Ellis & Robert W III AND playing more minutes of Thiero, and Bench scoring with moving Rui to the 6th man and moving Smart to the lineup or even KCP (if he gets back to his level) or Ellis.
