Lakers - If Ayton goes down with an injury LA will have to play a lot of Jackson hayes and vando small ball, that’s not winning basketball. Getting sharpe would be an awesome backup big who is young and can develop and I’m sure Luka would make him much better.

This trade also gets Vandos contract of LA books so they can use more money in free agency.

Nets - Get two picks to take on a contract that doesn’t affect the team much since they will be bad going forward. Sharpe doesn’t play much on this team and the nets would probably get a similar package from other teams

Nets could request one of LAs expiring deals but at that point LA would give them the FRP swap
