Lakers add another big alongside better perimeter D

Jakob Poeltl might be the best-valued center in the NBA given where the Raptors are at the moment, allowing for any team to get an efficient center that does all the typical bigman jobs well (i.e. boxing out, setting screens, rebounding) for relatively cheap. Raptors won't want to trade him but for Cam Johnson and a first, alongside expiring contracts, I think they get fair value and if not, they at the very least get a player who will contribute to their current 'entertaining tanking', fits the RJ Barret-IQ-Scottie timeline and can also be a nice piece to their already promising future and at worst Cam Johnson can get them a lot of useful assets in the future

Bruce Brown obviously is not the 3 point sniper that the Lakers would absolutely love to have yet I don't expect him to be a starter and when the full roster is healthy enough the roster has 9 actual NBA quality players compared to the 7 (at most) they have at the moment. That might not seem like much of a difference, but the Lakers get off DLO & Cam Reddish who are both pretty unplayable at times but JJ Redick doesn't have many alternatives to allow the Lakers to not have to rely on either players and their shortcomings are very much felt within the team and throughout games.

With Poeltl inserted into the starting 5, it allows AD to finally be able to run the 4 and roam the space within inside the arc and with Bruce Brown coming in and (assumably) getting a good chunk of minutes, it means AD won't be having to try defend the perimeter, anchor the defence and protect the paint all on his own.

For the Nets they get a few second round picks, a year to work out DLO's consistency issues and the hope Max Christies starts showing the NBA quality-player we've saw glimpses off, most noticeably in the first half of last season. They get of Cam Johnson who's trade value is probably at it's lowest that it has ever been as well as his 3 year/$65 million contract.

This is hypothetical, what are your thoughts on the trade and what would do for the Lakers?
