Mitch is a very impactful player on the Knicks, but I've also seen a lot of people say it's time for him to move on, including some cryptic social media posts of his own.

This trade sees the Knicks switch him out with Jaxson Hayes, a reliable, athletic back-up center who will show a similar hustle to Mitch. They also add some more ball-handling/shooting/perimeter defense in Gabe Vincent.

The Lakers could really use a defensive minded big, and they could use the off the bench scoring JC could provide.

Right now I have the Lakers throwing in a pick, but i'm not sure what the value is here, since no one here is a really a long term piece on their current team and everyone's expiring. Let me know what you think.
