Why everyone does this

Heat- They get the first rd pick they asked for wiggins , also shed 30mil next year. Rui is a decent and younger replacement that fits their timeline.

Sixers- Grimes is gone next year, getting second rounders is more than enough, since they got him for cheap from the mavs.

Kings- Same as grimes, Ellis is UFA. They are looking to get off him and are asking for a late frp. Knecht and a swap is actually worth more than that , so they shell out few second rounders.

Magic- They need some scoring at the center position, goga needs a good point guard for him to be effective, otherwise he most likely will get benched during playoffs anyways.

Lakers- Lakers def do this , no reasons needed. Center position feels slightly weak, but I expect goga to be able to anchor a defense better than ayton , and also free lobs from luka.
