Everyone has been talking about it, so let's run it out. Could it work? I say it could.

Lakers get a PG to run with Lebron and Davis. Honestly, they are grappling at straws, this won't fix any of their issues, considering most of their issues are injury related, but it's the Lakers, so....

Spurs get a draft pick and unload some salary by moving Doug. My guess is they waive Westbrook since they are tanking. Westbrook then seeks out a team who is looking to be competitive now at veteran's minimum or mid-level exemption, while trying to rehab his image around the league (as a team guy) to get one more good contract. Boston has $$ that is on the way to expiring ($17 mil if I remember correctly), maybe they bring him on as a 6th man and start Smart. Chicago, Miami, and maybe even a team like Portland might be willing to take a swing at Westbrook if the price is right and he is willing to take on a smaller role.

Nets don't get much. They may be able to weasel a pick a pick out of the Lakers, because they are desperate. They get a replacement guard to work into their lineup and they save a lot of $$. If the nets are headed to a rebuild, especially if they are able to unload Durant, then they may not get much more for Kyrie. Durant is their real asset, they would be driving to maximize his return even if that means taking a loss on Kyrie.
