It's nothing new that Austin has had a really good season, which is why he has several teams trailing behind. The only way for Lakers to keep him would be to give him a new contract, higher than Hachimura's ($18.7M) but lower than D'Angelo Russell's ($38.7M), somewhere between $20 million and $29 million.
Although a large contract would not be necessary, since Austin has declared himself a Lakers fan and prefers colors over money, but surely if Lakers win the ring this year Austin will have $100M for four years contracts
