Apparently, The Kings want Kuminga and if they get him there's a possibility of DeRozan's getting shipped to Miami for Rozier and 2-2nds
This would make Wiggins role on The Heat questionable and it's possible they would look to move him, if so the Lakers should jump in the mix.
Lakers & Heat set themselves up to compete this season by filling roster holes while The Kings go into tank-mode, likely looking to acquire Kuminga as a first or second option. I could see Sabonis getting moved for some significant draft capital after aqcuiring Kuminga.
This also puts The Heat under the tax apron and gives the Lakers ~$5 million under the 1st apron to fill their backup center position.
