Before anyone says anything, the Bulls are getting a swap, not a FRP
Why do these teams do It:
Bulls: They get a pick from a year post-LeBron, which means that pick is most likely going to be high, they also go further into the tank and have an expiring contract for the summer to sell to contenders or cap heavy teams
Utah : Picks post-LeBron, buying low on JHS, basically they'd be getting two very valuable picks and are able to give their newly signed guys more minutes at the 5, plus improve ranking
Lakers : Add depth at all 3 spots they need, add scoring off the bench and a very Young C that fixes their defense beyond what they could hope for, they also make the team younger and add trade assets for the post-LeBron era, since both Kessler and Ayo can improve and be moved if needed in 3-4 years
