LA lacks POA defenders, athleticism, rim-protection, and bech-scoring. I’m just worried about facing teams with quick guards. We’ve got guys that could guard up, but no guys that could guard 1-2 or 1-3 except for Vando. For the Magic trade: I’m just hoping that the Magic roster gets healthy to the point that they might not need Black and Isaac. They’ve got Suggs plus Jones to run the point at times plus they’ve got a surplus in bigs too, so why not swoop in? Magic has pieces that LA might find useful defensively while LA also got pieces that could be useful for Magic offensively. LA would give value to Magic by offering Rui’s reliable 3 point shooting and expiring contract plus Knecht’s scoring upside, tho both of them could be negative defenders, I think the Magic could give up a bit of their defense for more offense. LA will also absorb Isaac’s long-term salary which could be of value for the Magic plus a protected 31 frp. LA gets 2 reliable defenders that could defend 1-4 (1-5 in Isaac’s case). I’m just super high on Black’s defence and athleticism, he could be a good project to work on for LA. Isaac is just a beast defensively, definitely the Minister of defense, he could offer the rim protection that LA needs. They could also try and unlock his 3 point shooting potential and be a some sort of a stretch big for the team in the future. For the Kings trade: no team has been wanting to trade for Monk because of his long-term contract so we could grab this opportunity to cash-in our two expirings (2 srp, plus Hayes and Bronny). The only catch for the Kings is that they’d have to give up Carter for us to take Monk’s contract. Hayes, Bronny and Eubanks are just there to make the money work for LA (need to sign another player to meet the 14 man roster requirement). Bronny just needs to be in a team that doesn’t have something to play for, he could generate jersey sales for the Kings which could be a financial incentive for them. Carter is a dog defensively and plays really hard, he’s got injury concerns in his rookie season plus his shooting is not there yet, but could be a risk worth taking for LA. Monk could be the athletic bench scorer that we need. With the Kings wanting Westbrook, I honestly don’t know what they want with their lives so I’m just throwing this trade out there and giving out points that would make sense for both teams. (More on LA’s side of course)
