Why should they do this Trade?
Jazz:
There were reports saying the Jazz are interested in JHS and don't want to take on D´Lo. Here they get JHS who, despite having a bad start to his career with rare opportunities to play, was the 17th Pick in the last Draft. This along a Top 3 protected 1st and two 2nds should be seen as a good return for Walker Kessler.
Nets:
The Nets get a valuable Contract in Rui Hachimura, an expiring one in D´Lo who played the best Basketball of his career a few years prior and a young player who is just a Sophomore in Maxwell Lewis and has a lot of raw and untapped scoring potential. Along with that they get a Top 5 protected 1st and a two 2nds.
Lakers:
The Lakers would be the driving force behind this trade and here is why. They looked better than expected to start that season and have two at least Top 15 Players in Lebron and AD who looks like a MVP Candidate to start this season. So they could use their assets to make some moves to become a legit contender in the Western Conference. They need to address the following things within a Trade:
Inconsistency within in their Starting Line Up (especially from Rui and D´LO)
Lack of Bench Scoring
Not enough high Level PoA Defenders
Lack of Rim Protection when ADs on the Bench
They would fix all of their Problems with this Trade:
In Dennis they get a Starting Point Guard who gives you a similar offensive output to D'Lo but more efficient and is an Elite PoA Defender.
Cameron Johnson is a slightly better and more consistent Version of what Rui could give your Team. He also is more experienced, being a Key Starter in the Suns 2021 Finals Run.
Walker Kessler is one of the best Rim Protecters in the entire League and a bargain, while playing on his Rookie Contract. He could get even better with Time training with AD.
And the Lakers open up a Roaster Spot to sign Lonnie Walker IV who is an efficient Bench Scorer who can get extremely hot and had good Playoff Run for the Lakers back in 2023 when they reached the Western Conference Finals.
