The Lakers need defense on the team and get them with these two, but at the cost of most of they’re assets. The Lakers would need to try to get an average center in free agency or try to package gabe and maxi with swaps for a servicable center in the market. Trey has potential to be an all star with him only being 24, while on a great contract for the next 4 years. Herb coming off a rotator cuff injury will still most likely be an all defensive player with decent shooting.

The Pelicans are most likely going on another rebuild and they get some draft capital with a young defensive minded guard with potential, and assets. They can probably ship off rui on another deal, and most likely release shake.

The Magic finally get shooting in this deal, not needing to ship off anyone from their core while trading 2 first round picks from this draft, a protected from 2029, and a swap from 2028. Reaves can be great as their starting point and can provide them playmaking and shooting, while Suggs can focus more on defense to outweigh AR’s defensive incapabilities. Dalton can provide needed scoring off the bench.
