Why this makes sense for all teams? Lakers: They get their starting forward who they have been looking for all summer and give not many assets to get him. Grade A
Hawks: The Hawks are in a weird position because they have Kuminga's bird rights and the money to resign him but aren't since they already have 17 players on their roster with guaranteed deals and gave Lu Dort Kuminga's number already. The only other 2 teams interested in Kuminga now are the Lakers and Timberwolves but the Timberwolves can't do a sign and trade so getting a second is the best they can do. Grade B
Bulls: The Bulls join this trade to get a young guard in Jaden Hardy (on a 1 year deal) and get a free second round pick to help facilitate this trade. Grade B+
