So I was kicking around ideas. Two players we likely won't get much for are Ross and Mo Bamba. So in the interest of future cap flexability and getting a future asset why not do the dirty deed and trade with the lakers.

Orlando Magic get Russel Westbrook and a 2026 1st rounder unprotected Lakers get Pick 35 this year, Ross (who will be motivated IMO), and Mo on a sign and trade for 3 years 33 million.

The Lakers need shooting in worst kind of way. When healthy and motivated both are plus shooters. Orlando get Russel and his 47 million anchor contract. I think we should be honest. Listen Russ we aren't interested in you playing we want to develop the young guys, we would love for you to work out with them and teach them the grind to be a star. When we can buy you out or cut you lose we will. Then next year we have cap space and hopefully an idea of where the young guys are going and what we need in Free Agency. In 2024 there a ton Unrestricted Free Agents. Most notably Devin Booker and our own Markelle Fultz who we should absolutely know by then if he should stay.
