  • Rumors have emerged the Hawks have opened up preliminary trade discussions around forward John Collins, according to Shams Charania. The Suns are a team showing desire in Collins, but the cheap, small market team probably doesn't want to take on his long term money. The Hawks don't have an imminent deal in place involving Collins, but league executives believe framework for a deal in weeks and potentially months could happen before the deadline. Mike Brown's also a fan of the forward, but the Kings aren't expected to move Barnes. A Turner/Collins swap has been thrown around, and the Jazz have been reported a suitor as per Shams.

  • The Suns have shown interest in other 4s as well: Harrison Barnes, Kyle Kuzma, and Kenyon Martin Jr.

  • The Knicks have shown a willingness to move Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley in trade talks. In some talks with Quickley, NY has sought substantial draft compensation as part of the return.

  • 76ers have engaged in usual trade discussions, and in their eyes, Tobias Harris is a very expendable asset.

  • Some league executives suggest the Lakers' lack of making moves has been tied to them trying to let Westbrook's contract get off the books, and make moves from there.

  • There are three veterans on Charlotte NBA executives are looking at: Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, and Mason Plumlee. Teams like Knicks, Heat, Mavericks, Suns, and Lakers should inquire, via Heavy. Convincing the honor (MJ) of a complete firesale and tank job would be very difficult to do.

  • The Warriors would like to move Wiseman for win now pieces, such as Gary Trent Jr., Malik Beasley, or Dillon Brooks. Warriors may give up too many depth pieces for a deal to work. Some have even speculated GP2 could be brought back in a Wiseman type deal.
